It’s been a lovely weekend here in Portugal. The weather feels like spring, flowers are starting to bloom, and we’ve had a full weekend of connecting with friends. Indian food with friends on Friday night, a coffee meetup in Lisbon with a friend followed by drinks and oysters outside with more friends, a planned housewarming with friends who just signed a lease on their first apartment in Portugal.

It wasn’t always this way. A few months ago we were struggling to build community.

If you’ve watched our video about our first year in Portugal, you know we struggled to create meaningful connections and friendships. (Mostly because we never attended anything. Go figure.) 

We knew we needed to fix it.
